Antonio G. Vozza
New York State Counsel-Agency Division
Antonio (Tony) earned his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law in 2017, after receiving a Bachelor of Arts in History from Fordham University. While studying at St. John’s, Tony interned in the New York Agency Division Office, assisting all of the underwriters with necessary research on issues to help provide excellent guidance to our agents. In the course of his tenure, he spent significant time analyzing requests for high liability approval, learning about common title issues, and embarking on underwriting commercial transactions, so his transition into full-time underwriting was a natural progression. Tony has now been a full-time part of the First American Agency underwriting counsel team for 9 years. Tony’s experience in the New York Agency Division during his second year of law school, helped him garner a spot in the very prestigious Graduate Intern Program at the Home Office of First American during the summer of 2016. While at the Home Office, he worked closely with the Corporate Underwriting Department and was a contributor to several special projects in progress at that time. He possesses the most up to date research skills which enable him to get to the bottom of issues involving the law and assist our agents in getting deals closed. In addition to his underwriting duties and focusing on learning about commercial transactions, he manages a steady stream of reporting to various managers and participates as Vice-Chair of the Title Committee, Chair of the Career Development, and as a member of the Legislation Committee and Law Committee of the New York State Land Title Association, keeping on top of relevant legislation in our industry.
