From Humble Beginnings

In 1928, a then 4-year-old, Nunzio D’Addona migrated to the United States with his family in hopes of a better life. He quickly learned his way around the streets of New York and helped support his Italian immigrant family by shining shoes and cleaning counters at a local candy store.

But as luck would have it, a chance encounter in 1941, earned him a position at the Home Title Guaranty Company. Through hard work, dedication, an infectious smile and a “knack” for the title business, he quickly rose to become the Company’s leading salesperson. With a little nudge by his son, Robert, a title expert in his own right, in the fall of 1977 Home Abstract Corp. was born.

Locally Grown

With the support of their family and friends, Nunzio and Robert put everything they had on the line and opened their doors for business on November 12, 1977.  Their opening staff of five, which included Nunzio’s wife, Virginia and his sister, Grace, quickly multiplied to a staff of over 70 people and within a short period of time, Home Abstract became the largest Title Insurance Agency in Brooklyn! Today, the company still remains family owned and operated, with the Third Generation of the D’Addona’s at the helm and with our loyal staff, much of which has been with the Company since the “Nunzio days”, Home Abstract Corp. is bound to become the largest Title Insurance Agency in all of New York!

Since 1977, the Title Insurance industry has undergone tremendous changes but Home Abstract’s mission remains – TO PROVIDE UNBEATABLE SERVICE TO OUR CLIENTS. The core foundation of our Company is to treat each client as a person; making them an extended member of our family. Home Abstract would not be what it is today without the years of friendship, loyalty, and camaraderie of our clients.
